OUR MEXICO CITY TRIP!

In November of 2018, we were so excited to be given the opportunity to take Dovetail overseas and visit our wonderful clients in their hometown of Mexico City. Giovanni and Rossi have purchased a beautiful home in Bellaria, Windermere FL. The business trip led to the design of a beautiful vacation home in Orlando and we cannot wait to showcase it here soon!

We were very fortunate that time also allowed for us to explore some of the national treasures in Mexico City. Our favorite day was a trip to Teotihuacan, where we climbed the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon while gazing at a stunning hot air balloon dotted horizon. Our tour guide was a wealth of information and we learned so much about the rich and exciting history of that preserved site. We even got to try some local Pulque and tequila!

Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral in the historic city center is breathtaking, it was mesmerizing to see the ornate details within this giant structure. Also pictured, lit up in vibrant red light is the Angel of Independence statue in downtown Mexico City.

We highly recommend a visit to the National Anthropology Museum! With a vast collection of pre-columbian Aztec and Mayan artifacts. We were amazed by the craftmanship and precision of the carvings on the Stone of the Sun. We are very grateful to be able to travel for design and to gain artistic influence from new places and people.
